Mango Lassi

Servings:  1 gallon serves 14 assuming you use 8 oz. cups

Ingredients:

Mango Lassi Ingredients
    1 Gallon 1 Glass
  • Mango Pulp 4 cups or
1 - 30 oz can
1/2 cup
  • Yogurt, plain 4 cups 1/2 cup
  • Milk 4 cups 1/2 cup
  • Water 2 cups none
  • Sugar 1/2 cup 2 tsp

Directions:
Add all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.

Notes:
Mango pulp is available at Indian stores. There are two kinds; Kesar and Alphonso. They are very similar and it is a matter of personal taste. Among on-line commenters, there seems to be a general preference toward Alphonso.

The one gallon recipe is actual only 14 cups (vs 16 cups) but is designed based on standard container sizes; 1 can of mango pulp (30 oz), 1 container of yogurt (32 oz), 1 quart of milk (4 cups), etc. You can add an additional 2 cups of water to make 1 gallon but it will not be quite as thick or flavorful.
