Directions:
For this process, you will need an egg ring. They are available from Amazon.
- Preheat a non-stick fry pan to a low heat (4). Spray the inside on the egg ring with a canola oil spray. Put the ring in the fry pan and add a little oil inside. Crack an egg into the ring and break the yolk. The egg should cook very slowly so that it can cook almost completely through on one side without browning the bottom.
- Toast the English muffin. Optionally, spread a little butter on it when done.
- When the egg is mostly cooked, remove the ring, flip and turn off the heat. When the top side is cooked, flip again and slide onto the bottom of the English muffin. You may need to trim off some excess egg that ran outside the ring.
- Add a little salt and pepper to taste then top with the cheese. The heat of the egg will melt it. Put the top half of the muffin on and that's it!
90% cooked through. | Remove ring and flip. | Add salt & pepper before cheese. |
